Canada Express Entry

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is a points-based system utilized by Immigrants, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to evaluate and rank applicants who meet the requirements for Canadian immigration. This system analyzes a candidate’s profile within the Applicant Pool and assigns a numerical score based on various factors.

It is important for prospective immigrants to thoroughly understand the CRS and how it is applied, as this knowledge can help them optimize their profile and maximize their chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from the Canadian government.

Express Entry consists of the following components:

The following factors determine an applicant’s Canada PR point total, which is determined in
addition to the applicant’s eligibility for immigration to Canada:

  • Age
  • Education
  • Work Experience
  • Language Proficiency
  • Adaptability

Applicants who meet the requirements for any of these programs are eligible for the Express Entry pool. A score will be assigned to applicants based on the data they submit during the EOI process.

HOW COMPREHENSIVE RANKING SYSTEM (CRS) WORKS

There are approximately 1,200 slots available under Express Entry Canada CRS score. There are three parts to the CRS score:

  • 500 Skill Capacities (Capacities)
  • 100 Skills Competitiveness (Skills Competitiveness)
  • 600 Points

For each candidate, the breakdown of CRS credits is as follows:

  • The basic level of human capital is set at 500 points.
  • 100 for skill interchangeability
  • There are 200 points to be gained in terms of employment.
  • For the regional proposal programme, 600 points are allocated.

The breakdown of points for applicants who have a spouse or common-law partner is asfollows:

  • Core Human Capital of Main Applicant: 460 points.
  • Core human resource for the spouse: 40 points.
  • Skill portability: 100 points.
  • Suggested 600 points for the regional proposal.

To be eligible for Canada Express Entry, you need to complete the following steps:

  • Create an Express Entry Profile on the IRCC website.
  • Submit or upload all necessary documents online.
  • Evaluate your CRS scores based on factors such as age, education, work experience,
    language proficiency, and more.
  • If you achieve the highest score possible, you will receive an Invitation to Apply.
  • Submit your Permanent Resident visa application within 60 days of receiving the ITA.
  • Additionally, provide a police clearance certificate and a health certificate (PCC) as
    requested.
