Quebec Skilled Worker
The Quebec skilled worker programme is widely recognized as one of the most prominent PNP programmes in Canada. Quebec, being the largest province in Canada and located in the east-central part of the country, is the only region where the French language is commonly spoken.
Quebec boasts a sophisticated and open economy, ranking as the 37th largest overall and the 28th largest in terms of GDP, surpassed only by Greece. It is also a leading high-tech nation in North America, with involvement in industries such as aircraft, computer hardware and software, and multimedia.
With over 145,000 people employed and more than 7,300 firms, Quebec offers ample opportunities for immigrants to join its workforce. In fact, the province aims to create 115,000 new jobs in the information and technology sectors by 2017.
To facilitate this, Quebec has implemented the Quebec Skilled Worker programme, which allows individuals from around the world to immigrate to the province, contributing to its economy and labor market.
