Uk – Start-Up Visa

The earliest possible time to submit an application is three months prior to the departure date. You should expect a decision on your visa within three weeks. For information on visa processing times in your country, refer to the guidance response time.

If you wish to establish a business in the United Kingdom, you are eligible to apply for a Start-up visa provided that you fulfill the subsequent prerequisites:

  • You are not a citizen of Switzerland or the European Economic Area (EEA).
  • You satisfy the remaining criteria.

How to get a recommendation

You are required to obtain authorization from one of the entities below:

  • An educational institution in the United Kingdom.

Your business proposal must meet the following criteria:

  • You are not allowed to join or engage in a commercial enterprise.
  • Feasible and has potential for expansion.

Upon reviewing the list of endorsing organizations, make sure to reach out to the relevant support for your business concept.

The cost of health services
It is necessary to make a payment for a healthcare premium during the application process. It is important to carefully plan your finances before signing up.

WHAT DURATION CAN YOU STAY FOR?

The Start-up visa grants a 2-year residency in the UK, with no option for visa renewal.

Your visa may be revoked in the event that your recommendation is not approved. Prior to the expiration of your current visa, you are required to submit a new application with a renewed endorsement if you wish to extend your stay.

The maximum duration allowed for your stay is two years, regardless of whether you obtain a new visa with a fresh endorsement.
